I've looked around the bottom for ideas on visual culture, and I'm really interested in the overall color of little areas and subdivisions. I plan on taking pictures, taking swatches/spot colors and making a color harmony/theory book based on this area. Ill try and have an example by Monday. Thanks.

That sounds pretty amazing. Reminds me of a science fair project I did in high school analyzing the colors of natural dyes... Anyway, I used the eyedropper tool in Photoshop on the pictures I took to look at the RGB content of colors. Might be helpful, might not, just thought I'd share.
